Micaeh is a seasoned Communications Strategist that has successfully evolved within the changing Public Relations environment to bring contemporary work and value to both her clients and internal team members. She has done so by continuing to execute traditional public relations while creating and producing digital content and messaging to tell compelling stories through various advertising mediums and media streams. Micaeh has been executing strategic public relations under her company, Carte Blanche Ltd, for over 10 years. She has been quoted by several media outlets for her experience in the field including ESPN, the Chicago Tribune, and Rolling Out.
After several years of successful practicing, Micaeh found herself creatively frustrated, so she decided to integrate her knowledge of public relations with her passion for photography; seeing the art practice as a natural extension of a person’s voice and story. Now using photography to elevate her own voice as well as the voice of her clients, she showed her work for the first time to the public at an exhibition in July (2014) at NYCH Art Gallery in the historical Pilsen Art District. She will be showing again at a collaborative mixed medium, art exhibit that she is producing in the Fall of 2016 in Chicago.
So the origin of Nia Anne. Nia is Micaeh's middle name. It means purpose and is the 5th Principle of Kwanzaa. Anne was given to Micaeh during a religious ceremony. A close friend suggested the combination be the name given for all her storytelling done, intitally through photography. This site houses all endeavors; public relations (Carte Blanche Ltd) as well as creative work (photograhy and production).
Micaeh has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, concentrating in Public Relations with minors in both English and Dance from Purdue University.
